I don't post pictures as my pens aren't up to the forum standard but since I posted a picture of the crosscut London Plane blanks it seemed right to post a picture of how the grain came out once they were turned. Managed to turn these while cutting brass on the CNC, the one on the left is brown oak, I really like the way this turns out with crosscut blanks, fortunately I have enough to turn a lot of these lol The other 3 are the London Plane blanks I had asked about a while ago.

Thanks guys, would have replied to this sooner but yesterday was a bad day, 20 years in the Royal Navy so trust my shyness, embarrasment or shame are not a problem lol
The reason I don't do it, not just here but on other forums I use is because the people on the forum are to nice lol, Critisism, even constructive critissm is seen as a negative & disheartening so doesn't tend to happen & I don't need people telling me my work is good when it is not, just my own personal opinion but if you beleive you are doig good work because that is what people are telling you then you learn nothing.
Anyone who has looked at my facebook page may have noticed that I post my mistakes as well as my achievements, I am my own worst critic & often point out where things could have been done better lol
