I just followed a link from Neil Lawton in Vic's post regarding a vacuum chuck, on the page was another link regarding a service by TR, i didn't realise that they did this service .. Has anyone actually used it?

I was just thinking about members saving on the duty/taxes Neil .. Thou it would be a good idea first to see what costs are involved ..

I would imagine you would just end up with the dollar price in pounds as normal which is the same as you would end up ordering it youself and paying vat etc the saving might be in larger items where postage would be high.

They ain't gonna pay your duty and VAT are they, so th eonly bit you gain "may" be a bit on shipping.

Yep, that would be my assessment of it. Might be worthwhile if you just want the odd item though.

In this day and age they should'nt be, but then I have had the flip side when my dentist got nasty over not paying a bill I had already paid. I investigated and told them they had credited my payment to someone else's account.. They apologised by text!!
