Hi
I have just been given some pieces of cellulose paint cracked from an old car and it has many layers.
I have cut two pieces into 12mm square blanks and will hopefully turn a twist pen
Any advice on turning layered paint??

Regards

New concept for me mate. The blanks will change during turning so now anything is likely and possible. Interesting to see a before and after.

Incredible! Never heard of paint that thick, the results will be interesting but I guess one of your biggest challenges will be drilling for the tube.

That car must have weighed a ton carring all that excess baggage, didn't they have abrasives in the old days. :whistling:

From what I have seen from Carl Jacobson's video's. Turn it with very sharp tools, very light cuts and stop often so the paint doesn't get hot and soften
