Turning getting closer

I am nearly at the stage of being able to return to turning. The foundation for the new workshop has now been fully laid and touch wood the new workshop will be delivered Thursday so by the week end I can start to get everything back in and set up. The old workshop is now in the place where the woodstore was and has now got some shelves in to store even more blanks.
Inside the woodstore new shelves and all the cupboards for the new workshop still a lot of blanks to go back in and some more shelves. I laid them down to stop the wood falling off

That should meet OH&S approval nothing can roll off and fall on your foot.

Thanks guys I will take some more once the cupboards are all out of there and the rest of the wood is in the store excluding all of the flat wood which is in another store

New Shed,nice!

Upside down and sideways photos are quite common. It’s very easy to fix, Always take pictures in landscape mode and make sure the lens is near the top of your phone or tablet. Cropping your photos to suit afterwards won’t effect the orientation.

The workshop has landed just need to put it up the floor panels weigh a ton as they are 1" thick boards on the bearers

In the bottom photo the back R/H corner the looks like the ground level is higher than your footings, be careful the white ants love that.

Congratulations mate. I have a prolifery of sheds and workshop space that has come to bite me .they are overflowing. I gave a mens shed several trailers of machinery and timber,mate in melbourne 60 kgs of cut timber blanks ,then last December a visit to Melbourne chockers with more of,about a hundred or two turning pieces of various timbers going out sooner than later.In a week plus I turn 87 and the chores are vgetting difficult.

Don't have problems with white ants also the soil will be kept away from the wood as more work needed around the workshop

Ready for felt well to be precise the felt is now on just needs trimming and then it is water tight will soon be moving in the toys

I am courious about the felt and how it makes it water tight?

It is roofing felt which is used here in the UK.

Now I understand, I thought that you were going to attach it to the inside like we do here with insulation.
