Finally got my scroll saw up & running today

A mate had given me some blades, patterns & good advice on Friday so I thought I'd best get on & cut something.

Years back I made Wilma a room with five various scroll saws top of the line Hegner really large and medium saws for a long time she made ,painted cats leaning on doors hanging animals, magazine racks. The trends changed and one day she said they are all yours.

From the sound of it you are going through a phase as well. The Elephants are cute enjoy mate. Regrets I have a few now with a literal ton of Huon Pine plain surplus bought so long ago to make toys with over 50 grand and great grands there was never going to be enough time.

Peter.

Wouldn't mind the pattern for those Doug I love elephants :love_it:

Thought I'd put up a reply to your post Richard

I will try & sort one for you Richard when I see him again, I have a couple of other patterns that Steve (my mate) gave me,one of horses which are just on paper, but the elephant one was glued to the blank & covered in Sellotape as he showed me how to go about mounting patterns on blanks with the elephant pattern so I don't have a copy of it.

As I've already been asked if I can make a few more elephants I need to get a pattern for myself

I showed them to the wife this morning and she loved them. She then informed me that she'd always fancied having a go on a scroll saw. Well we've been together over 25 years and its the first I've heard of it. Nevertheless this sudden interest in woodwork is to be encouraged and I'm on the look out for a scroll saw - for her of course nothing to do with me. I think I'll start showing her a few table saws!!
