Made two boxes to day on my wivamac bothe made on ash finish with wax

Sweet boxes. Like the spalted one a lot. Can I offer a suggestion that will take these great boxes up to the next level? Put the appearance of separation between the lid and box. You can do this by putting a small chamfer on both the lid and box.

Played out great till the crack like to keep them fatter near the join.

Looks like the new lathe is performing well Alex. Two neat boxes mate.

It bloody lovely it amazing what the difference is it like going from a beat up ford transit to a Bugatti

When are you going to put a descent bit of timber on that lathe.

Got a 19inch piece of yew but I did not want to get the circular saw out to cut the board tomorrow's job
