These are a trial run and not meant to be the same originally I was going to make some thing different which is more intricate but got sidetracked whiles cutting one of my blackwood logs up I know which one I prefer what about you
I must remember to hold the camera straight they look like I have been on the sherbets

Well, I am coming off the fence Woody and say that the top one does it for me, the narrow stalk looks better but both are top class pieces my friend .. :thumbs:

Love em both, but just to be awkward I prefer the bottom one, seems more "balanced" to my uneducated eye.

But I wouldn't throw either of them out, that's for sure.

Seems to take a lovely finish, what's it like to turn ?

The wood is lovely to turn with shavings just pealing of whatever tool you use be it a gouge , scrapper in fact any tool but you do need a shower after LOL

The first one is my favourite Woody mate, I like the steeper taper towards the foot, but really both are STUNNING!! :thumbs::thumbs:
