These are for my friend's daughters. One is in the National Guard, and the other just likes guns. I love the copper blanks, I think they go well with the gun metal finish on the pens.

I reverse painted the blanks with Testors copper enamel, and colored the epoxy with it.

Originally, I was planning on using camo blanks. I turned one, but didn't like it. It just wasn't "stunning" enough. I'm much happier with the copper. One of the many things I like about penturning, is watching an ugly piece of plastic or wood turn into a thing of beauty.

A very duo Jim, i like the idea of mixing in the colour at the gluing stage .. :thumbs:
