Anyone have any knowledge of these as mine has just decided to give up the ghost.
Lack of power and turning slightly oval - Bearings?

I know there are very few made and even less still about, getting hold of any information is proving very difficult. But it has been a cracking lathe for the past few months,
cost me a favour so does not owe me anything, just can't really afford to replace.
I am getting withdrawal seeing my unfinished pen sitting there waiting. :sob:

Thanks
Dave

I managed to get it running again for now. Cleaned the bearings of what looked like 30 years of accumulated wood dust.
Will see how it goes and start saving for a better unit.
I think the closed end pens will have to stop for a while as it may be my chuck that is just too much for it. It is only small but then the lathe is even smaller.
At least been able to finish the pen that was started.

Thanks for the suggestions

Dave

You could use a collet chuck, that would be smaller and weigh less.
