Woooo I'm on a roll! :shocking:

This is a sierra with a burr elm blank that Jim kindly sent me. Its got a copper fill which I've tried to photograph a bit more clearly for Brian as the red mallee burr sierra that he wanted to see a clearer shot of has already disappeared. :rolling:

I've tried Brian, but, an iPhone and a sheet of Bounty doesn't give the best results. :iknow:

Its not very clear in the photo, it makes it a little washed out. Its much better in the flesh I promise.:whistling:

You can see a bit of the fill around the bottom of the blank which again looks striking in the flesh.

Finished with BLO to seal like a friction polish application and then the HUT friction polish which I tried for the first time on this one.

(Thanks again Uncle Vic )

As with the PPP sticks, I am pleased with the finish, very easy to apply and no nasty niffs!

Thanks Woody, in real life the grain almost looks 3d and the copper real makes a nice subtle contrast. Its a beautiful bit of wood, amazing what Jim finds under his sofa!

That is really nice piece of burr Elm Ed.

The pen looks finished really well and if I can't really see much of the brass fillings it doesn't matter as the pen looks brill as it is..
