Don't know where I got this, anyone know what it is?

Ballpoint / rollerball? but with ink cartridge. I've laid it out as I think it should go but I can't see the reasons why some of the parts have an internal thread and nothing to thread into them.

That looks like a Cigar Americana from Timberbits. It was a Dayacom kit.

The one you have takes a cartridge or converter like a FP. They were available in both this style and the fountain pen.

If I can find the pics I will post them later.

It's an Americana ink-ball pen kit Bob.

From Vic at turners workshop.

If I remember rightly the classic elite that Angelo has put up is a slightly bigger kit than the Americana.

The roller ball refill won't fit the Americana if I remember rightly as they are a shorter kit than the Classic Elite

Sure I still have the kit instructions if you need them.

I'd appreciate the instructions if you can find them Eamonn.
You're right, mine isn't quite the same as Angelos as there is no provision for a rollerball refill. The nib end has a fixed adapter for the ink cartridge.

The one that Angelo has shown is the classic flat topped, yours as mine has a hexagon shape recessed in to the cap, like a nut.

I think there wasn't much difference to be honest, the length of the top tune and the lower cap was slightly longer

I bought the last of Timberbits remaining stock of the Americana a few years ago, I still haven't turned one:thinks:

Thanks Eamonn I've downloaded that.

Any idea why so many of the parts have internal threads without any obvious reason. The only thing I can think of is maybe the parts are common with other variations of the kit. :thinks:
