Unknown Wood on a Slimline

Was given this wood by Graham (Cowboy) last weekend, we haven't an incline of what the wood is, so if you can shed some light on this please do, it is very opened grained BTW .. :thumbs:

Placed on a Gold plated slimline and given a friction polish and wax finish ..

Who knows? difficult to even hazard a guess although if I were to have a guess it looks a bit like the texture of meranti. Laijan - thats a new one on me Woody, even Mr Google hasn't heard of it, you haven't switched your old keyboard back by any chance?

Sorry it should have said saijan but if your wood is dense and heavy then it not that one it is quite light and soft

Lovely pen as usual Jim. I haven't got a clue what wood it it but if Neil and Neil say it is probably Merani, that would be good enough for me :thumbs:

looks nice that Jim glad the wood as got a name at last it`s been call all sort`s for the last 10 year`s or so mostly unrepeatable lol :up:
