Just finished this. The Red and blue outside part is probably some type of Polyurethane whilst the white part is Polyester judging by the smell when I turned it. It’s made from a Ten Pin Bowling ball. The outside was sanded to 1000 grit then polished, the inside is just sanded to 120 grit to leave a Matt finish. The inside looks and feels a lot like unglazed porcelain.

Never seen inside one of these before,Very effective,must have been a bear to turn for this beaut result.

This type of bowling ball has a coverstock, outer core and a more dense inner core. The outer core turned very nicely, the inner core was a lot tougher and had to be completely turned away. I used a Carbide “bowl gouge” I made some time back to do all the turning.
