Hi,
i have been away quite a bit recently due to a bereavement back and forth to Ireland, and now find myself probably moving from the North East to Ireland, where green timber is much harder to come across. But what the boss lady wants.....
I have been lurking with interest though.
Had a request today.
I am making a batch of 50 pens for a company, and the owner has now asked if i can set into acrylic some quite valuable material about 1/4 inch diameter into approximately 1cm acrylic and then turning into spheres.
It comes form a similar thing i am doing with the pens which was setting material into acrylic and this becoming the top most part of the pen. Easier though as they are to be glued in with a tenon and an easier shape.
I can turn larger spheres but this small.
I can make some small cones and use these to finish but i am worried about the very small size.
I was wondering if anyone has ever done something like this and could offer advice please ?
Regards and hello again
