The process I do is:

1 Fold up a piece of kitchen roll till it is about 1/2 wide

2 put the roll under the pen and pour medium ca whilst moving the paper along the wood - to half way and then stop pouring the ca but continue with the paper.

3 Carry on moving up and down the blank with the paper for 3 or 4 strokes

4.Do the other half of the blank

5 spray a dusting of activator

6 wait 10-15 seconds

7 do 2 to 6 as many times as you feel you need. I do it 10 times

8. with an old parting tool or knife cut the end of the ca through so that its not attached to the bushes.

9. using 600 wet and dry sand the blanks to get rid of any ridges.  If its very ridged sand with 400

10. sand with 1200 wet and dry

11 polish with buffing cream, car polish, tooth paste, cutting paste... I use cutting paste nowadays

12 polish with clean water.
