A great regret I will not get to turn any more Lace Bobbins a thought today prompted me to show some they are among my valued blanks all so straight, old dry and beautiful in the main group from top to bottom Brazilian Rose Wood, Boxwood, Macassar Ebony, Padouk, Padouk,Hard Rock Maple,Brazilian Roswood finally Imbuyia. A few closer up. I have had these and so many others for twenty years they came from a family of makers cut ten or more years before straight as a die peeled some of the wrap off.The longer ones are just over a foot long by about ten mm squared.

What prompted this was wrongway thought of advertising for fifty such sticks to practice on.

I also grabbed two pics of fence palings 6 feet long only a few Aussie pesos about 3/4 of an inch thick very suitable for practice.
