I think I have raised a similar question before. I collect (and use daily) Parker 51 pens (both Vacumatic and Aerometric versions) and also turn pens. Most fountain pen kits available are crude , have a horrid design and are uncomfortable to use. No supplier I have yet  found has been able to emulate the smooth, flowing, lines of a Parker 51 - nor produce a hidden nib section anywhere near Parker quality. It's an opportunity for an enterprising pen kit company. The Parker 51 patent may still be active, but when I become confident enough to make a kitless pen I will aim for the 51 design. One can buy the nib sections on eBay or from a 51 supplier so shouldn't be too difficult. The traditional metal caps are also available but could be recreated in wood or acrylic with little difficulty. The enclosed clutch mechanism would be more challenging. But surely nothing beyond members of this pen turning group? Who will be the first to recreate "The World's Most Wanted Pen?"
