The pen blank was so exciting as well hence the picture with the Olive ran out of time for it today.

Kind regards Peter.

Stunning looking pen Peter, really nice finish and shape. I like it and look forward to seeing the olive wood pen.

I like the woods from you neck of the world, I have some Vanuatu axe head wood that is really nice, it doesn't have the spalting or grain pattern but it really is hard and tight grained..

Thanks for the kind words.. Silver years ago I bought 21 sticks up to 3 feet in length 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches square of golden Amboyna and a few large 2 inch thick pieces for small tables these latter ones are in a shed the grain, colour not crazy but the grain is tortured interlocked and knarled looking I will drag some out and cut some blanks and maybe dye it to show the detail in it.

I am really excited as I downsize and find more treasures in wood.

Kind regards Peter.

Superb, the blanks look too good to turn and the pen is gorgeous.
