Some recently turned virage kits. 2 in acrylic and 2 wood. First time I've used these kits and I quite like them.

Platinum and not rhodium?
There are gold and chrome virage ballpoints available in the UK, but the only precious metal "white" option out there is currently platinum, which is not available in the UK. But I do like to be able to say its platinum because people actually know what it is. Rhodium always has to be explained, therefore platinum is instantly perceived as premium quality.

I don't know this for sure, but I strongly suspect that if you put two identical pens side by side at the same price, one in platinum, the other in rhodium, with no one to answer questions, the platinum would outsell the rhodium. However, that is just an opinion - I've never put it to the test, mainly because there is no kit that is done in both as far as I'm aware - and for good reason - there would be no point.

(Don't know why my previous post appeared twice??)
