I've wanted to make some treen for ages, and can't for the life of ke think why it's taken me so long.
Anyhow, made this out of Apple and hope to be making more around this turned/carved design. Finished with mineral oil/beeswax blend.
Got the week off work to look after the wife, as she's having an operation on the nerves in her arm tomorrow so shed time comes when it can.
funny really, I always thought it would be the pain in the a#@e I give her that would become a problem:funny:

Looks a good shape :thumbs:

I once watched a turner make a spoon entirely turned on the lathe, pretty hairy when doing the business end with the handle flying round & fairly impressive.
