I have done loads what I did was drill a hole in the old type flat clip not the new fancy ones for the pin then cut most of the pin off then put the rest of the pin in the hole and use it as a rivet if nedded a small blob of solder on the underside no glue at all I used to make them up for scooter clubs among other things
