Peter,

I'm afraid that I have not grasped the isue you are trying to reinforce with your posts. I found the comments from John Crane on the IAP CLICK MECHANISM an inside view - International Association of Penturners which, to be frank, I was disappointed with. It was a pictorial depiction of the contents of seven pen kits. there was no analysis of the good, bad or the ugly and the reasons why and I remain at a loss to understand the point of the post? There followed some personal rumblings from contributors as t their personal preferences but nothing ground breaking?  am unconvinced that any of the mechanisms that appear the same are in fact the same, there are only so many ways even the chinese can dream of making a click mechanism and copying is an oriental past time. To assume that one mechanism is the same as another based on pictorial observation is unwise.
