Once you are in the VL 300 catagory you are in with the big boys toys group and it becomes personal preference and availability since at that level you won't find any flaws. I've always wanted a Oneway and being Canadian, with them made here, that leads my choice. The Robust line from the US is another quality line and the VB 36's being made in Germany are also solid machines. Have fun picking.

I have a problem with transport from Australia,:goesred:
the lathe no

You have at least two Vicmarc sellers in France. They hopefully get a container of them, which spread out among all the contents, brings the shipping costs down. Europe

Can't find a Oneway dealer in Europe.

Robust have a couple. Dealers | Robust Woodworking Tools | Wisconsin USA

The VB 36 Shouldn't be hard to find. VB36 Dealer - DRECHSELZENTRUM ERZGEBIRGE - steinert Now paying for it is something else.

If you are thinking of that sort of price, then remember that at the moment you can get better prices in UK because the Euro exchange rate is favourable for a Frenchman (ie it reduces prices by about 20% which then covers the postage) have a look here but you may have to email them to get availability if you need help in translation give me a PM 2436 series | The Toolpost

If you buy a bare lathe you can build it to your preferences. Variable speed is readily found, three phase motors run very smooth etc. Building with your preferred suppliers.

Yes it is a solution, I had done it for the VL100.

thank you Pierre I will watch from this side also.

I can't find my ideal tour ...
tip height 200mm minimum
speed 0 to 3200t / min
wheelbase on the ground ideal is 1300mm x 700mm so that it fits in my workshop.(the door is 71cm)
and above all with great precision.
Help me!:monkon:
thanks for your help

My choice is precise with (for the moment:praying:, excluding cost ....)
Felt, after discussing with happy owners of these machines, and technical data.
Very close for the first two.
1st: Bezombes HB-M
2de: Vicmarc VL300, bench a little short
3rd: Oneway 1640, bench a little long
Then we'll see who will make me the best offer
