What have you all been doing this week and what are plans for the rest of the weekend.

Well the shed had to wait as my wood store up the top of the garden developed a leak so yesterday done a temporary repair so that when the better weather arrives I can replace the roof completley or even replace the whole shed.
Then today i sorted it out as part of it is also a potting shed and with the spring coming around i need to start thinking about starting my seeds off when it is appropriate. The good thing about this is that I can get more wood in there and still have plenty of room for the potting side of things.
I did discover that I had 8 large burrs more than I thought I originally has as well as finding more yew and Laburnum. so noe the wood store part looks like this.

Still in Rugeley mate. If ever you and Ali are down this way she is more than welcome to take the D1 out for a spin. There are plenty of them about if you fancy buying her one. Have a look at the BSA Bantam forum on Facebook there are quite often a few up for sale including the ex GPO bikes.

Me and Lorraine have been in Settle for a few days to see the Westenders at the Victoria Hall. Got back this morning and spent a pleasant afternoon sailing my rc model yacht. Tomorrow is the start of our rugby league season so I will be watching the mighty North Wales Crusaders take on London Skolars. It’s a rough life this retirement.

Dalboy Right taken photo of what a wood store should look like:drool:

How many years did that take to build or did someone donate you a forest?

Must make a start :thinks:

Kevin:banana:

That is just one store I have another one which also has turning blanks as well as wood for flatwork. I did get quite a haul just before Christmas

Just got back last night from 4 nights in this cabin near York.
After processing a few orders I was planning on getting a few new blanks & pens photographed & posted on the website & this forum, but Charlotte had other plans as she’s been having siezures on & off all day! She’s now in hospital for the night with mummy as we hadn’t managed to control the siezures with the usual medication that we can give her.
Thankfully it didn’t happen while we where away though, which is always the worry.

Thanks Derek. Just spoke to Jackie & she’s still having siezures! hopefully they’ll get them under control soon & with some look they may be back home tommorow, but with all the siezures & medication, she’s going to be wiped out for a few days.

My first and only motor bike was the BSA Bantam,I sold it in 1954 when we became engaged to pay for the ring. I was a third yr apprentice Sparky. I cut the foot rests back to the minimum to enable me to lay the bike over further on corners. At 6 feet two inches it still enabled me to court Wilma 100 km from my place, work,it was a great asset. Later that year I bought my first car a 1927 A Model Ford Tourer. Late in that year into the Army for National Service, married in the middle of 1955. Brought back heaps of memories.

Peter.
