Firstly I'm hooked...
Also today I discovered -
some pen tubes need colouring or some blanks not suited to kit pens (the 'crushed blank' pen)
and to make sure you have enough blank to do the finial (blue pen)

OK to me too, we'll done mate,
As to painting tubes, don't worry, paint the hole... It works much better. I use acrylic paint and a cotton bud(don't tell the wife) Phil uses nail varnish, but that's his private lifešŸ˜œšŸ’…šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

I don't like the blue one, single colour ones to me always look cheap. It's just me. As far as the finial's concerned it's usually better, though, to get a good contrast than a near match.

The blue one was to challenge myself to get the finishing as perfect as possible, it's getting there and needs magnification to see a couple of minor marks. I was just annoyed i didn't have any material that worked on the finial

thanks, that's a great idea. Im new to acrylics so its difficult for me to work out which blanks will be translucent, it didn't before it was turned

I've always liked that light blue blank.
Here's a Leveche I did a couple of years ago, and I still have it in a prominent position on my desk
