What is the the best friction polish

I have tried bolger friction polish the finish was not a very good gloss
I am now using Chestnut friction polish this one seems to be a lot better with a good gloss finish
What do you use?:thinks::thinks::thinks:

It used to be that you "friction polished" your turning by burnishing it using a handful of shavings that you had just produced.
Give it a try, it works very well. A proper finish was then applied!
Friction polish is great for instant shine, but will succumb very quickly to even light handling.

For the last 15 months I ave been using the Hut Crystal Finish, gives a nice shine, but........

It as at last dawned on me that CA is the only way forward for pens :thinks::thinks:

I do this every pen before applying one coat of CA plus other stuff.I recommend the rub with the turnings.

I agree with Neil. I was taught to burnish with shavings & still do. It's like using white diamond on a buffing system.

To be fair the OP didn't mention pens, that said the U-Beaut I use on pens has a cutting compound in it so continues on were sanding left off, though I always go over the friction polish with the 2 Hutt wax sticks. I like the finish this process gives me & it does wear well.
