This is the first thing done 'in anger' on the new rotary axis of my CNC. Took a bit of tweaking but blooming' 'eck it's amazing what it can do! The kit is a baron, the wood is summat (a gift from Paul but neither of us recognised it) the tribal tattoos are inlaid with atomised brass. Bleeding difficult stuff to work with, made no easier by having to be used on a cylinder. Hard to escape gravity when some part of the inlay area is always vertical and the stuff is finer than talcum powder ... :nonono::nonono:

That is superb David, I don't think I'll be doing that just yet, I can't even switch my machine on at the moment.

There are ways and there are ways first you malign your wife then solicit your friends attention why not just visit, swap stories make something collaborative like other people have making blanks, turning. Show us your pens.

Words of wisdom init?
I do visit, I have collaborated, I haven't had time or customers to make pens and already have more than I want so I don't make them for the sake of it anymore.
That could all change as I have finished my job today and will have more shed time until the next job comes up init?
