I don't know if they've left the forum, but Chas and Angelo have been absent for months. :thinks:

Woody’s got his own website now called pens for veterans, grump is on it too. I was with Woody some months ago when I met him and Bill Mooney at Llandudno blind veterans. They’re both doing sterling work almost full time raising money for blind ex service men.

Yep, woody has not been on since January so well spotted..

They are both out there are still around on the circuits..

Spoke with Woody only last week, sent him some boxes to help raise funds for veterans.

There are so many forums and Facebook pages now on pentunring and woodturning that you will find that the same amount of people are there but they are on different platforms..

I think you will also find that personalities change on this type of forum so many drop by the wayside and move on.

I have seen it many times over the years, however I still say this forum has a vast amount of information that can be gleamed from the many experienced turners and wood workes alike..

I am happy on this forum without great expectation, happy that most of us feel able to share. I often scan the list , those on line, sure they are lurking for whatever reason, their privilige. I joined when Woody left the forum the forum run by a noted retailer it appeared to struggle. We here just now Phil made an appeal for more pens, the one lately are mostly his Phils retail products. This I can understand the kits are good. Swings and roundabouts it seems.

I am sure they are welcome, I noted and revisit that a large number of alike pen kits are in vogue on this forum. Speaking today to different big dealers seeking out a product loosely called Silver Glide I was told pen making is down because of the proliferation in different pen kits these days. Lately some ghastly Tank etc kits from PSI have been seen on the net.

The coincidence lately on the forum of Sirocco kits in particular raised the remark. I have ten of them coming my way as we speak. Our country has very friendly import laws with up to 1000 dollars before incurring heavy regs and fees. Currency fluctuations are rife.

Not sure about Woody, was he too busy or something to post anymore? I think Grump got into a few arguments on here so copped the hump.
