For the last few months, I've been happy turning wooden pens. I now fancy turning a few acrylic pens. Where would members recommend to buy acrylic blanks from please?
Thanks

Simples that one Contact Our Brody

If I was just starting turning acrylics, I'd be wary of ruining a top quality blank from Brody.
I'd start off with some of the ones sold by the likes of Axminster, Turners Retreat etc

Brody. Forum member producing so beautiful blanks

When I had got experienced at turning Acrylic blanks, thats when I'd start buying quality blanks from certain forum members

And why haven't I bought acrylic off forum members yet? Cos I got loads of shop bought stuff to use up first :rolling:

I just got a load of acrylic blanks, the same ones Axminster sell, from Snainton 45p each less than Axmonster. I bought 32 so a decent saving. I find as usual, Turners Retreat to be on the expensive side, but if you only want a few I guess they're not too bad. I would avoid polyester blanks for the time being as others have said s they are harder to work with and have more of a tendancy to break or shatter.

I will have to have a day out at Scarborough soon, shame my company does not deliver that far east, I could get some fresh air in my lungs and a drink at the harbour bar before calling in at Snainton on the way back.
