Years ago - about 40 years ago! I used the Cole & Mason ones (Turning peppermills at night school) I know for a fact that at least 2 of them are still working
One I use every day in my kitchen and another is in use every day at a friends house in London - so I can vouch for the quality of C&M ones.

I have only ever made two sets , both in Ceramic. :nooidea:

They are still in daily use, less than they used to be due to the reduction of salt in me diet.:goesred:

It would have to be 316

Doesn't have to be Alex, only if you wanted it to last 100 years. It could be 304 that would last most lives out, however if you wanted a good stainless then go for 314. The high nickel content would be the best..:wink:

To be honest most manufacturers use standard 304 and I don't think Joe blogs would really know the difference :nooidea:
