Lee, a brave man who takes that on, but you will need a pen that leaves a bit of wood meat on the bone, something like an aero or Lucida (same thing). Just consigned a sierra to the bin (or rather the wood element) made of snakewood that split after six months. More than happy to give it a go for you, I'd drill it in 1mm increments to keep the heat down. Three blanks and its yours. PM me if you want to take it up!

Well do you think it is worth £10 a lump regardless of how rare it is now tell the truth
£10 a lump, is that £10 a blank, bloody hell its not worth it. I had a piece on the stand and nobody went near it, I sold pens in Bog Oak, yew and loads else over the snake wood. At £3 a blank its worth it, I picked up a lump six months ago from which I could get ten blanks from, cost me £30.

I agree that Snakewood does look good on a pen, but i can not justify paying such a large sum for it .. :whistling:

You dont have to justify your prices to any of us your obviously running a business to make a profit so what you charge is your business we just have an opinion as to whether they are worth that amount to us for whatever reason good luck
