In that case, maybe Penpal. Too many palm trees for a UK member. Testing his new soundbox for a didgeredoo that is suffering from the heat, perhaps.

Over here we use Didgeredoos for one piece pen blanks,Palm Trees for tourists to agonise over making pens.Snakes make me shudder. This young lad is destined for greatness.

Peter.

Damn! :rolling: You might have to give a bit more away Vic - none of us knows much about what each other looks like now, let alone then! It is a photo of a forum member, yes?

Yes it's a very active Forum Member who contributes on a regular basis. The elder gentleman in the picture is his father

I have thinned it down quite a bit in telling you it was taken in Malaya whilst the person was living there

It just so obvious who he is ! Well it is to me he sent the photo

Top Marks Phill you've got him
This was Pierre's post to me. He hasn't been well recently and I'm sure we all wish him a speedy recovery

Here you go Vic me in 1956 I'm the youngest one in the photo with my dad I'm a lot older now

We've just been scanning some old family slides, location Malaya probably Changi or Penang. He used to look after the RAF Natural history club and they had a small zoo. Might as well do this I cant turn for a while folloing my open heart surgery, especially since they have to go in for a 3rd time!!

Best of fun with the thread

That sounds more like Singapore as I lived in Changi

Hi Derek Apparently it was Changi in 1956 according to my Dad who is still alive at 95.

Mind you a bunch of onions was a big clue :sob:

I'm bored now, I have been banned from lifting any weight till they sew all the muscles back together after they parted following my op, and I've just bought a new bobbin sander to make some new jewellery boxes
