Why did I!!

Hi all,

Just a bit of a giggle,
Those that know me know I work in a school..... Yesterday I found 8 old chisels, I thought I could clean them up, a bit of a sharpen.... Job done.
Now as its a school I thought I should only offer to sharpen the odd chisels in DT whilst I have my Sorby set up..... A picture paints a thousand words..... See below for what I found on my desk this morning!!

A friend of mine works in a D&T dept at a school. I recommended the Sorby system to them some years ago but they took no notice. About a year later I mentioned it again and they bought one. The same day it arrived, after trying it out, they’d ordered another unit and two lots of all the popular accessories.

Shouldn't the students be learning how to sharpen the tools even if it is one on one with you and your sander? If you do it all for them they will never get it.

I agree, I vaguely remember in the dim,dark recess of my mind, learning to do this at high school.
And we didn't have any fancy machine to use.
