Wood Identification Please

Hi all, I've been given some off-cuts by a friend of a friend of a joiner and as I'm no expert I can't identify this wood. Any help would be gratefully received.

The wood in it's raw, sawn state.

more than likely as your mates a joiner, don;t think he would have brown padauk or sapele
