Worked out what wood is needed for the shed rebuild as well as roofing material now all ordered. so spent some time on other little jobs that I keep meaning to do.

Well, the second vice which had a broken handle when I got it and the other I managed to break. Have made two simple handles up out of 3/4" Ali bar drilled and filed square as well as make a couple of Corian handles. I used a 6mm furniture bolt that I ground down the head and made a recess in the Corian. I glued in a brass tube in the Corian as well as used another brass sleeve for it to rotate on as well as to stop the bolt thread wearing out the Corian as it rotates.

Tomorrow will be moving wood when it arrives and the start of the build will begin

Handy mods on vices, livening the gibs makes these vices really handy at the drill press. Have fun with the wood shelter Derek.

I had already stripped this vice and cleaned all the gibs as well as adjust them it all runs nice and smooth and now also easy to wind the slides it does tend to live on the drill press now
