Hi all, Some might know I work at a school.... Well this week I was asked by a parent if we wanted some "free wood" apparently he runs his own joinery company, well rude not to accept then.....
If I go can I get first dibbs??
What I collected was already on a pallet and loaded via forklift straight into my van..... Wow!!
Most pieces are between 18" and 2' long 3/4 to1 1/2 thick, we have Oak, Green heart, Sapele, American black Walnut, Maple and Piranha pine.... OK nothing stunning but this could be very nice for segmenting..... In total we had 4 wheelie bins full of solid timber and about the same in veneered ply/mdf....:drool:IMG_20190124_112001.jpg
Just some of what I started to unload

I've told flexi that if he brings it all down here I will show him how to do it properly instead of turning little sticks to write with:funny::funny::funny:

Can't complain when its free especially when a lot of these joinery & flooring companies sell these off cuts on places like ebay to make some extra money. My old industrial unit had a Window Company next door, got a lot of free wood from their skip lol, some of the mahogany I collected was better quality than the rubbish they were replacing it with!!

Don,t know anyone who can pass a skip without looking or gathering,it pays off.Over here the new payback on plastic containers has resulted in bin diving neighbors rubbish bins.

Peter.
