Very nice indeed Mark, you should have gone the whole nine yards and purchased the 13 piece set.:winking:

To be honest I never look at the recommended mill size as most metric sizes are "Just about".
I mill near then finish on the sander with an imperial transfer punch.

Make a lot of noise on forums and Facebook groups until someone notices you and offers you a job. :funny::funny::funny:

Seriously though Mark, I don’t really know how you would get to be a magazine reviewer since Mark Baker left as editor of Woodturning for health reasons. In these difficult times I am not sure who, if anyone, has taken on that particular poisoned chalice. Generally speaking Woodturning magazine seemed to be concentrating more on articles than reviews and most of what passes for reviews in that and most other mags these days is just some variation on the manufacturer’s press release. The Woodworker still do some proper reviews but as a general woodworking magazine their interest in turning is limited and in pen making even more so. If you want to get paid for reviewing kit, or get provided with free kit to test, then the way to do it these days is to set up your own you tube channel and get sponsored by the manufacturer of whatever tool or gadget you are demonstrating.

As for the Woodpecker Tools Mill, it looks like an extremely good quality tool that is way over engineered for its purpose. Doubtless effective but much more so as a way of parting pen makers from their money. I’ll stick with the method Neil recommends, or something similar.
