Clubs can be a nightmare, I went to one where practically no one spoke to me, the wife suggested that they all probably had impeccable taste :ave_it::ave_it:


But I do go to another club & have done for  4 or 5 years, I found if you stop behind & help cleaning up, volunteer to help with making the teas & generally be a little proactive you soon get recognised & accepted.

It does work both ways, if you don't make an effort then why should anyone else, that said folks can be very clicky & there are still some old boys who still don't talk to me but hay that's just life, you do tend to get out what you put in.


The main thing for me is that I enjoy seeing other folks turning regardless of their abilities, I rarely see a demonstrator & don't learn something new & for me that's what it's all about. Being creative is great in what ever way you choose & I'd far prefer to watch someone make something from a piece of wood than watch a little screen in the corner of the room.
