I had some oak in the firewood store some of which are parts of a 500 year old beam. This beam had to be removed because it was riddled with woodworm even though the worm had been dead possibly for a couple of hundred years. So, when I was breaking bits off it with my hands I had the idea to cast it in resin. The first one I did is resin and red fingerprint powder which made the resin opaque, the second and third are both with gold and glitter powder as requested by my wife and niece. The last one I completed this morning is resin and UV-reactive fingerprint powder.
