I always worry when somebody gives me a nice piece of wood that I'm going to cock it up or not do it justice and this was very much the case when I had this piece of Apple this morning from Woody. Hopefully you'll like it, I do but if you don't... .bring it on :funny:

I like the shape of that :thumbs:

How does the middle work? Do they overlap, or butt up? Any tips? I might give it a go with a piece of your yew tomorrow.

It just buts up Rob. I turn the nib end to the diameter I think is right and then turn the top just a bit wider. I do have some longer tubes that I sometimes use in the top end from Euro Kits but this is with the same size tubes. The only important part is that you ensure the join is flush or if you want slightly indent the top part an eighth or so so the bottom just goes inside it. Although I use slimline spacers when making the kit, the only one that is used for the pen size is the nib end, the others are just spacers for turning it.
