Done in some superglue cone material.. not my best finish but been made to roll around on the workbench.. got this blank from a nice man last year and as soon as I saw it I knew what was destined for..
Poor pic I apologise for[emoji6] [emoji39] [emoji13] [emoji12]

Not sure I like the kit as a whole first time instructions have told me to glue components with ca..

Have 2 more to make up might just end up giving these to the kids.. or spare workshop pens..

One thing for sure I won't be doing anything more with this material what a pain in the backside it was.. had to switch lathe off every 10 seconds to unwrap the swarf.. took 3 x longer to turn because of this..

Spent years in out of around and about Airports as a Technician we used to have to check every afternoon the runway lighting the bay indicator direction lighting all vehicles were painted this colour cause it does not blend in it stands out, regarded as the safest colour car on the road as well. Yellow with black writing. One day up in the control tower where we used to liase with them and incoming outgoing Aircraft movements the Airport was shared at that time with the RAAF who were doing landings and bumps with a spotter plane a tiny Auster the guy in the Tower said I cant see you, with that a giant gust of wind and the plane flipped forward on its nose buried in the tarmac it was camoflaged, then a very irate now can you bleeding see me. I was always grateful for that yellow paintwork( this was in the 1960,s.

I personally don't like the colour Graeme but I have a couple of the pencils in the workshop in oak and find them very useful for general marking. I'm a bit heavy handed and constantly break normal leads.

That one's a bit thick to put behind your ear though :funny:

I like it Graeme, it's something different and for a pencil that will rattle about a workshop why waste a fancy burr blank? What kind of blank is it? I'd fancy getting one.

Bloody Nora is that bright or wot Brian tell him

I gotta tell him init?

MAKE IT GO AWAY DAD!!!

why waste a fancy burr blank?

I don't consider it a waste but a love of what I do, this has rattled around my shed for years and been so well used you wouldn't believe.
Still shines like a shilling in a coalman's pocket init?
Spalted sweet Chestnut burr given to me by our god Woody init?
And it's a better kit than those silly flats and joins, my idea of a proper pencil.
