I made a bowl today from a kitchen worktop sample nothing goes to wast in my workshop LOL It was supposed to be solid wood maple but it was made up of strips of bamboo as you will see I have left it quite thick because I didnt want to risk some of the joint coming unstuck it is 8" x 5 1/2" the bowl will be going on sale Friday for the British heart foundation I will be having a table out on my drive enjoy

Great looking bowl Woody finish looks spot on. I find it great fun turning pieces like this.

For those who want to have a go try putting a piece of black card behind the work it helps to show up the wings a little better.
