I was watching Chris live on u tube last night he just shows that a disability need not someone from achieving things.

Bill of this site often shows us as well what can be done. As well as being involved in helping those that are either partially sighted or blind learn to turn with the help of other woodturners Woody to name one.

My admiration goes out to these that try rather than sit and feel sorry for themselves.

Chis is a friend of mine as is his wife Nicola & guide dog Bamber. A remarkable young man who demonstrates at Axminster stores.:thumbs:sight loss is traumatic but we can still live a useful life.
Thanks for the endorsement Derek.

Chris has demonstrated a couple of times at our club(Red Rose Woodturners) as well as being inspirational he is a really nice lad. If you get the chance do try and see one of his demos in person, what he achieves is quite remarkable.

The religeous reporter on The Canberra Times our newspaper for as long as I can remember until he retired was blind and maintained a strong presence and inspiration. Seeing Cris manage so well was great .Thanks for the referral. During my lifetime I have said as Cris has when folks say you can,t do this it spurs me on. Just supporting eight of us was a real challenge and I never called on my wife to work ever. Its harder for me to do most things now but I am grateful to my maker I still have a go.

Peter.
