I have made a few donation pens today from Russian 7.62 WWll spent snipper rounds that have been fired from a Mosin Nagant Snipers Rifle it’s the same type of rifle that Vasily Zatsev used in the WWll film Enemy at the gate the stamp 118 is the number of the factory it was made in.
I also made An RAF centenary fountain pen out of two cut down 338 rounds

Great looking set of pens Woody, well done.

7.62 x54r is misnamed as the 7.62mm Russian, the R stands for Rimmed.

Thanks for your comment Mark I have no doubts about these being Russian WWll cases they were given to me by an expert in the field there are no 7.62x54r stamps on them the only markings are 66 and 19 also I have researched it my self and looked up the 7.62x 54R and they are for the Russian Mosin–Nagant M1938 Carbine Bolt-action rifle Mosin–Nagant - Wikipedia Snipers of the Soviet Union - Wikipedia

but I agree with you Mark the R does stand for rimed but it doesn't change the fact they are Russian
