Absolutely beautiful Chas. What finish do you have on it ???

Terry I used two coats of cellulose sanding sealer, cut back with a touch of burnishing cream. Then a couple of coats of friction polish, finished off with Autosol.

Thats a lovely piece of wood Chas, I haven't used that kit before but it looks very nice dressed in that wood that you've turned and finished divinely.

Chas plenty of swirl and grain in your well made pen I sensed the groan when you revealed it was but your 4th pen, on the other hand you raised all of our spirits with the quality. Another help for me I inherited a number of these kits in a box full of mixed kits I bought and have a mind to make a few when the prepared blanks are used up. Your obviously off at a gallop mate, well done and done well.

Chas the name Wych in front of timber conjures up memories of episodes of Midsomer Mysteries reenactments like you pursue, hidden woods, mysterious scenery . reflecting on your progress in making pens you are leaping in there trust you enjoy the journey as much as I have and do.

Best wishes Peter.

Thanks Peter. I'm certainly enjoying it even with the ocassional problems (all part of the learning curve).
In fact within 1 minute of me putting the pen up on my Facebook page someone I know said how good it was and would I make one for them
They even offered to pay me, so like many others on the forum I could be getting paid for enjoying my hobby
