I wanted to make up this wood on a Jn Gents but I had just 1 drill bit missing and yes it was the 10mm I needed for the smaller barrel so I have ended up with a slimline pen
As stated it is made with X cut bamboo which is a bit of a so n so to turn very sharp chisels needed and fine cuts from the beginning to the end finished with 3 coats of sanding sealer and a lot of Libron woodturners stick enjoy because I did

Very nice young man I have had a lot of dealings with Bamboo in my time but would never have thought of trying to turn it.

Woody,

Over here there are a lot of cutting boards made from cross cut bamboo I have used several for mounting small machines fairly heavy and very stable. There is a furniture maker who imports timber like bamboo and makes excellent stuff.

I went through a Bamboo stage in pens however it needs filling, pampering as does Palm tree with course filaments.

Your work with bamboo demos that with a lot of patience wonders can result since I have no predudices on a Slimline is great for me. Thanks for showing. The best finished Bamboo I have seen on a pen.

Kind regards Peter.
