Say Vic, can you explain cross cut bamboo, how do you get that burr effect.

Hi Bill it is from an old block of compressed bamboo that was 1" thick something like bamboo flooring but thicker and I cut it across the grain a few years ago and a customer who purchased one when I cut it ask me if I can make her another one so here it is

You can buy bamboo chopping boards in some of the supermarkets but sadly they are only about 10mm thick. Perhaps you could glue two together though?

They're probably the nicest bamboo blanks I have seen:thumbs:

I have had samples from this company although I paid for a full set of samples rather than get 3 free ones, well worth the £3.99
