My final pair of Jr Gents for the weekend, this time in Santos Rosewood. They were completed yesterday afternoon in somewhat of a hurry.

There I was carefully taking my time when Margaret asked (decreed) that I should hurry up and stop playing sheds (making pens), make us each a sandwich and get changed ready to go and meet some friends down the pub.

So having completed the turning & sanding of the fountain pen, I quickly got to a stage where I could leave it for a while (wax applied but not buffed) and went to make the sandwiches. :sob:

I returned to buff up the pen about 15 minutes later and got a new bit of blue paper out to buff up, when it occurred to me that I should already have blue paper out and it would have the remnants of the friction polish on it, no paper, so no friction polish applied. :sob:

So, I buffed up the waxed pen, then cut it back again, applied the friction polish, re-applied the wax and buffed up again.

Why does Margaret ask me to do more than one thing at once, she knows it doesn't work I am a mere man. :nonono:

Any way in the end the pens turned out ok, well I am happy with them

Quality does seem to be a bit of an issue, these had to be cleaned up quite a lot glue all over the place although luckily not on the polished parts that you see

Great looking set Billy, love this wood, it goes really well with Gold accents .. Good to know that there are others on here that can only do one thing at a time ..

Great finish on them BTW ..
