Yet more wood having a great month for collecting. I think I am becoming a wood hoarder.
I went out today and looked at the yew log I mentioned the other day which is 12foot but only came back with this pile. I can hear you all saying well what happened to the log well that one and a shorter one which is bigger in diameter was just too much for my volvo estate car so the very very kind man said he will deliver those two free of charge.
This is what I brought back 12" steel ruler for scale. Could be some nice pippy yew blanks in the two larger pieces

Nice little stash Derek, shame about the time it’ll take for them to dry

The tree has been down for three years already so will cut up and rough turn some of it. Others I will turn to finish and let nature take it's course.

Some narrative wood collecting, rather see the finished articles. They are always great.

Peter.

Hopefully will when people stop giving me the wood it just seems at the moment that all the offers are coming at once not that I am complaining but at least I will have a good supply once I sort it all out.
The best part is that he will also have some large apple wood to get rid of soon as well as that he also gets some burrs which he is going to keep for me.
