Don't match up as bottom bit split when inserting ink so had to use another bit i found, Still it writes so will keep it for the shed and be bloody careful next time :rolling:

It's still a lovely pen, do you use a mallet to insert the ink?:wink:

The colour still matches and looks ok to me. When you say inserting the ink do you mean the nib?

Bad day for me too, cracked a bottom half inserting the nib and then cracked the top half fitting the clip top!! Shame, it was on a home-made cast blank too.

That is tough BH, hate this when it happens, but what i do to stop it happening is to make sure that the tube ends a clear from any dried glue and adding a tiny amount of wax to the end of the mech to help with the entry .. The pen doesn't look out of place so well done on the recovery ... :thumbs:

Don't worry about it enjoy using it and remember next time the the bore before init?

Thanks Guys! yep i didn't take enough care, i do usually use a tiny drop of liquid soap or liquid paraffin on the end of the mech but forgot, age thing you know, sometimes have a job rem what me bloody name is!:goesred:

That was supposed to say check the bore before init?
